"The inability of the temporary Camp Committee to effect any improvement in conditions met with general criticism and a general election among the British Community was proposed. recommendations of a sub committee were accepted - they were:
(a) Division of British Community into 3 electoral. blocks and the election of ONE block representative for each This election took place about 13/2/42.
(b) Election of 6 general British Community representatives This took place abour 25/2/42.
(c) Election of Chairman from the 14 representatives elected under (a) and (b) This took place a few days
